Mark Anderl, Esq. – Municipal Court Attorney of the Year 2025

Mark A. Anderl, Esq. of Anderl & Arango in Perth Amboy, specializes in state and federal criminal defense, as well as juvenile and municipal court matters.

Mark received a BS from Northeastern University in 1979 and a JD from Brooklyn Law School in 1983.  He was admitted to the NJ Bar in 1985. He served as an Assistant Prosecutor in Essex County from 1986-96, before becoming a partner in Anderl & Oakley in 1997.

He has been Certified by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a Criminal Trial Attorney since 1997 and represented clients in over 250 criminal jury trials.

Mark has been selected as a Super Lawyer in 2005-06, 2009-2013 and 2019-Present and a New York Top Rated Lawyer from 2012-2024.

In addition to the MCBA, Mark is also a member of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey.
